About Juliet Ross, Personal
Development Coach
“I do so
believe in the concepts and power of life coaching. Everyone can benefit
from having a life coach, even if it’s just once, because the skills
learnt will last a lifetime. After all, when you learn to drive you have
a driving instructor, and life is far more complex than driving.”
Juliet Ross
I’m Juliet Ross, a qualified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner
(NLP) and Personal Development Coach.
As a small child I
often wondered why I was put on this earth; what my purpose was. Some
years later I found out. It’s called ‘Personal Development Coaching’.
A lifetime’s passion
for promoting confidence and joy
For most of my adult
life, one way or another, I’ve found myself helping people in all walks
of life move forward positively into better lives. I soon discovered a
natural empathy; I love listening, questioning and encouraging people by
boosting their confidence. And I get a huge kick out of seeing people
make their own opportunities then move forwards into their new lives
with confidence and joy.
Friends and
colleagues tell me I have a natural gift for inspiring and empowering
them to find the courage to do something to alter their lives, be it
small or big. All I can say to that is, “Thank you!”
Empathy backed by rock solid qualifications
Some years back my
son told me he’d met a life coach, and thought that it was ‘so me’. He
was right. Inspired, I trained at Newcastle College and achieved my
Certificate in Life Coaching and BTEC Level 3 Life Coaching Skills and
Practice qualification. And I recently qualified as an NLP Practitioner
with Pegasus NLP Training.
A little about me and
my life
I am married to a wonderful man and we’ve just celebrated our 37th
wedding anniversary. We have two marvellous children, a beautiful
granddaughter and our family gives us a great deal of joy. I love being
by the sea, in our motorboat out on the Solent with the breeze blowing
through my hair, exhilarated by the sheer speed of the boat.
Brief CV
After school I went
to secretarial college. My first rung on the career ladder was as ‘Girl
Friday’ for a large business, from where I worked my way up to become
Personal Assistant to a company Director.
At that point I
started a family and, during the children’s growing years, set up a
party plan jewellery business with eighteen employees. Boy, did I learn
the hard way how to juggle family and work! I found myself eating,
sleeping and drinking business 24/7. A life coach would have come in
handy back then! During this tough time I learnt how to negotiate terms
and prices with manufacturers, interview and train staff and structure a
successful business in a professional manner.
